Subject	Axle Spline question........is it necessary to put any type

Message	of lube, corrosion preventative, or anti-seize of any type on the splines before putting the axle back in the wheel bearing? There is nothing in the service manual but it seems like something should go in there so it doesn't rust together. I had to beat the hell out of one of them and almost destroy it to get it out because it was full of gunk and rust. I'm thinking at least a light coat of anti-seize. Any suggestions from the track guys/know all's??
